Alex Rudd

British American Actor/Singer/Dancer/Model

“Rudd was well-cast as the distinguished Sherlock... the actor's slender frame and British handsomeness were perfectly suited for the intelligent, witty, pipe-smoking Holmes.”

Rochelle Arnold, River Cities’ Reader (Sherlock in Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery at Timber Lake Playhouse)

“Rudd's version of "Miracle of Miracles" is phenomenal.”

Samantha Pidde, Carroll County News (Motel in Fiddler on the Roof at Timber Lake Playhouse)

“Rudd, whose boylike features make him a natural for the role, captivates the audience with his uncanny ability to appear both timid and brave, playboy and romantic”

My Black Hills Country (Robin Hood  in Sherwood: The Adventure  of Robin Hood at Black Hills Playhouse)

Bio

Alex was born in Indiana to English parents, so his English accent is the real deal! He has been dancing and singing through life, from Indiana to England, to Singapore and Texas, and will graduate from Webster Conservatory of Theatre Arts in May 2021 with a BFA in Musical Theatre.

Alex is never happier than when he is dancing, singing, writing songs, playing guitar, and taking people on wonderous journeys with him through the arts, on stage and screen. He is proud to have played two of the most iconic characters in British history, Robin Hood and Sherlock Holmes, and was also nominated for Best Actor at the Tommy Tune Awards in Houston for his portrayal of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables. Alex has also been recognized for his talents, receiving the Beacons of Hope Award in London for his song "Turning Grey Skies To Blue", to raise money and awareness for the Lymphoma Association.

Since he was a young boy, taping pennies to the bottom of his Converse to turn them into tap shoes, Alex has always had a passion for performing and putting a smile on people's faces. Most recently, Alex was seen dancing in the empty, locked-down streets of St. Louis, and caught the eye of Patricia Kelly, wife of the late Gene Kelly, with his own take on Singin' In The Rain - "Gene would be very proud!" ... Check out the video here!
